With an extremely impressive start to his season, new signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic has taken over the French league completely with some outstanding goals including the 2 he netted in Ligue 1 clasico PSG vs Marseille. His form is extremely difficult to stop and purely for this reason I predict him to win the top scorer’s award in France this season. He proved his class by being a key aspect of every team he played for especially AC Milan, their poor start shows that losing Ibra was one of the worst things that could happen to the Italian giants.
Pierre Emerick Aubameyang:
A striker who has switched on this season, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang currently stands 3rd in the Ligue 1 top scorers leader board but with his advantages such as his sheer pace and quick feet expect him to score even more goals this season and help Saint Etienne overcome some tough fixtures this year. The Gabonese forward is a very good counter attacking strength who is bound to get on the end a good pass or cross, strengths of his including a good header of the ball and clinical finishing it is no doubt that he will put himself in the shortlist of some top teams next season.
Another striker who has shocked his team’s supporters with his early form is Andre-Pierre Gignac. A man who was clinical for Marseille during the early time after his transfer from Toulouse lost his touch after a severe groin injury has started to show that he is ready to compete with teammates Loic Remy and Jordan Ayew and with this competition happening, expect him to score quite a few for Olympique de Marseille. However his fitness is something that will put him down, as an injury prone Gignac must keep himself fit and try his best to maintain his early season form.
Souleymane Camara has shown this season that he is perfectly capable of filling in the massive role that Olivier Giroud left behind after his move to arsenal. Camara has shown his capabilities with a couple of outstanding performances for Montpellier this year. He is a very smart forward with a very good eye for goal, another strength Camara possesses is his good movement and brilliant knowledge of when to run and where to run to create an opportunity for him to place the ball into the back of the net. With his work extremely impressive rate expect him to be coming out from the dark alleys and into the limelight by the end of this season.
Last but not least we have Bafetimbi Gomis. A front man who has proved to be one of Lyon’s best transfers by netting time and time again to help the team reach positions they aim to be in. Gomis has shown that the whole controversy he had suffered hasn’t gotten in the way of his football. With a slight rough patch attacking partner Lisandro Lopez is going through right now, Gomis seems to be carrying the team in attack however with an impressive display by Lyon this season so far we should be seeing a lot more chances coming to Gomis which I’m sure he’ll put away. However with his poor offside awareness the Lyon team must know when to play the critical pass to their striker.
